CELEBRATING
LGBTQIA+ HISTORY IN THE MOJAVE DESERT

Explore the rich history of queer & trans beauty in the Morongo Basin
OUR MISSION
We're adding a LGBTQIA+ glow to Mojave desert history!
The California High Desert has been our home. Through oral history interviews, storytelling workshops, and community connections, the QT Oral History Project documents queer and trans lives, beauty, resilience, creativity and community in the Morongo Basin.

COMMUNITY COLLABORATION
Our Collaborators
Thanks to a generous grant from California Humanities, the Hi-Desert QT Oral History project is expanding to include community partners as sponsors, student historians, cultural activists, digital divas, and community interviewers. All are welcome to be apart of this exciting desert archive. Our goal is to preserve this rich LGBTQIA+ history as celebration, testament, & roadmap of the unique California desert and its queer inhabitants. Want to Sponsor this project?
